Porreres, idyllic and sustainable.
Porreres is a town located in the south-central part of Mallorca, which stands out on account of its meticulous dedication to agriculture, which has become the town's main source of income. Apricot growing occupies a special place in this sector, with the fruit considered one of the most representative of the town and even has its own fête. Wine growing, with four producers in the town, and cereal farming are also worth particular note. Porreres has become the perfect spot for rural getaways thanks to its well-cared environment and nature that surround the town. And visitors mustn't miss out on the characteristic windmills, with up to 36 examples on display. The town has 5,500 residents and is the largest in the Pla de Mallorca.
